Welcome to MOLOKO UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you visit molokofest.live, submit an application or sign up for our newsletter. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit one of our forms, we collect the information you fill in:
- Artist applications: band name, contact person, email, phone, genre, hometown, social links, sample tracks, biography, and optionally a tech rider PDF.
- Sponsor applications: company name, contact person, job title, email, phone, website, sponsorship level, budget range, and marketing goals.
- Vendor applications: business name, contact person, email, phone, vendor type, product description, space and electrical requirements, optional permits/insurance files, and optional setup photos.
- Newsletter: your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, time on site, referrer, device type, browser, language, approximate location (city-level).
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5.
- IP address — collected by our hosting and form provider for security and abuse prevention.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To review and respond to artist, sponsor, and vendor applications.
- To send you newsletters, festival updates, lineup announcements, and ticket promotions (only if you opt in).
- To analyze site traffic and improve the festival experience.
- To prevent fraud and protect the rights, property, and safety of our team, attendees, and partners.
- To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the festival (form processing via Netlify, email delivery, analytics, ticketing platform).
- Third-party platforms integrated into our site — see Section 4.
- Law enforcement or government authorities, when required by law.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:

- Analytics cookies — measure how visitors interact with the site (Google Analytics).
- Advertising cookies — Meta Pixel for retargeting future ad campaigns.
A cookie banner appears on your first visit so you can accept or decline. You can also clear cookies anytime in your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
- Application data is retained for up to 2 years after the festival event ends, or until you request deletion.
- Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention period (14 months).
7. Your Rights
California (CCPA) and similar US state laws
If you are a California resident (or covered by a similar state law), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
- Access a copy of your personal information.
- Delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, server-side form validation, bot/spam filtering, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10. International Data Transfers
The festival operates in the United States. By using our site, you understand that your data may be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via newsletter or a notice on the site.
